A Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and problem solving as it relates to data, types of data, and relationships among data elements within a business system or IT system and with business domain expertise. A Data Analyst provides expertise on how business workflows map to data, and how data can be integrated to build reusable data products. A Data Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for delivery teams.

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets using Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake).

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data insights using tools like Power BI.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

  • Perform data validation and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business decision-making.

  • Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and findings.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our data analysis practices remain cutting-edge.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (orequivalent experience).

  • We are looking for mid to senior level Data Analysts with proven experience (at least 5 years) as a Data Analyst or similar role dealing with data andETL processes.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to buildtrusted working relationships with remote peers and stakeholders (internal & externalparties) across global teams and time zones.

  • Collaborate within an agile mindset and seek/acknowledge diverse perspectives fromothers.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure Services & Power Platform, including AzureSynapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Database.

  • Ability to optimize analytical reports for maximum speed, efficiency, and accessibility.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau.

  • Experience with SQL and data querying languages.

  • Experience with Python for Data Wrangling.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in oil and gas workflows, business processes, and data types.

  • Data modeling techniques, data fluency and governance.

  • Fundamental knowledge of Information Risk Management (IRM).

  • Mentor junior data analyst and provide guidance on best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification (PL-300)

  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively frame analytics opportunities and convey the findings of your analysis.

  • Ability to discover and prepare datasets into clean, understandable, usable, datasets for data analysis.

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis.
