Job summary

Chempro QLD Pty Ltd in Manila is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst to join the Data Team. You will work directly in SQL and Python against our PostgreSQL data warehouse to model data, build reporting and turn point-of-sale and operational data into insight the business can act on.

You will work across the full path from raw data to decision — querying and shaping the data yourself, validating it, and presenting the result clearly to stakeholders across retail operations, category and marketing.

• Strong, demonstrable SQL with joins, aggregations, window functions and query optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimise SQL for PostgreSQL data warehouse to extract, transform and model data for reporting and analysis.
• Build and maintain Python scripts and notebooks to automate data extraction, transformation, validation and recurring reporting.
• Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards covering SKU sell-through, category growth, catalogue performance and store-level trading.
• Investigate business questions end to end — scope the question, source and validate the data, analyse it, and present a clear recommendation.
• Build forecasts across various periods, identifying peaks, seasonality and the drivers of volume change.
• Provide store-level reporting and forecast summaries with a localised approach, plus quarterly and annual sales forecasts for the marketing team.
• Review data for errors, gaps and inconsistencies; investigate root causes and work with the data team to fix them at the source.
• Contribute to the design, testing and documentation of data models, transformations and reporting logic.
• Use AI and large language model tooling to accelerate analysis, automate repetitive work and draw insight from unstructured data.
• Communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders in plain language, with clear visuals and a clear "so what".

About the Role

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong, demonstrable SQL — including joins, aggregations, window functions, CTEs and query optimisation. You should be comfortable writing complex queries without assistance.
• Working Python for data work — pandas or similar — for cleaning, transformation, automation and ad hoc analysis.
• Experience with PostgreSQL (or another relational database) and comfort working with large relational datasets.
• Sound analytical judgement, with a track record of turning ambiguous business questions into defensible answers.
• Attention to data quality — you check your own work, question results that look wrong, and understand where the numbers came from.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Highly Regarded

• Practical experience applying AI and large language model tools to analytics or data workflows.
• Experience with modern ELT tooling and analytics engineering practices (dbt, dlt or similar).
• Version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI — valued, but not a requirement.
• Exposure to retail, pharmacy or point-of-sale data environments.
• Cloud data platform experience and familiarity with dimensional modelling concepts.
