Data Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Data Analyst to design, develop, and optimize data solutions that support operational insights, reporting, and decision-making. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners to build reliable data pipelines, curate high-quality datasets, and enable actionable analytics through Tableau and other reporting platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS for key business data domains, including:
  • Incidents
  • Trouble Tickets
  • Alarms and Events
  • SLA Metrics
  • Outages
  • Field Operations
  • Customer Impact Indicators
• Implement reliable data ingestion processes for batch and near real-time workloads.
• Develop and maintain mechanisms for retry handling, schema evolution, error recovery, and data validation.
• Optimize data processing performance and cloud resource utilization through efficient storage, partitioning, and compute strategies.
• Monitor and improve pipeline reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Data Modeling & Curation

• Design and maintain curated datasets following established data architecture standards (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Create, document, and maintain business-ready datasets with clear ownership and governance.
• Develop semantic and metrics layers to standardize operational and service assurance KPIs, including:
  • Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR)
  • Repeat Incident Rates
  • SLA Compliance
  • Incident Volume Trends
  • Service Performance Metrics
• Collaborate with data governance and business teams to ensure consistent definitions and a single-source of truth for critical metrics.

Tableau Enablement & Reporting

• Develop and maintain Tableau-ready data models, views, extracts, and reporting datasets.
• Support dashboard development by optimizing data structures for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Improve reporting responsiveness through aggregation strategies, denormalized models, and query optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues by identifying and addressing root causes within upstream data pipelines and source systems.
• Ensure reporting solutions deliver accurate, trusted, and timely business insights.

Operational Excellence & Reliability

• Implement monitoring, alerting, and health checks for data pipelines and reporting platforms.
• Monitor:

• Create and maintain operational runbooks and support documentation.
• Support CI/CD practices, automated testing, code reviews, and deployment processes for data solutions.

• Partner with business stakeholders, including:
  • Network Operations Center (NOC)
  • Service Management Teams

  • Business and Analytics Teams
• Gather reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, governance, and security teams to ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
• Support data-driven initiatives that improve operational visibility and decision-making.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance data platform performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and best practices within data analytics and engineering.
• Recommend process improvements that increase productivity, automation, and reporting effectiveness.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members and assist in mentoring junior analysts and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services and modern data platforms.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar reporting and visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and analytics best practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, version control, and automation practices.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications, network operations, service assurance, or enterprise analytics environments.
• Knowledge of Python, data automation frameworks, and cloud-native analytics services.
• Experience supporting large-scale operational reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
