SMEC is seeking an experienced civil engineer to oversee dam and hydropower site inspections on projects in the Philippines. The role involves daily site walkdowns, checking against designs, monitoring materials, and reporting findings to the design teams.

On-site leadership and strict adherence to safety and QA standards are essential. The ideal candidate will hold a Civil Engineering degree with a PE license and a specialization in dams/hydropower, plus hands-on experience with GIS, Primavera,

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
Professional Engineer License (PRC) or equivalent.
Specialization in Dams / Hydropower preferred (short course or certification).
Experience in construction supervision for dam/hydropower projects.
Familiarity with GIS, Primavera, structural or geotechnical modelling tools.

Responsabilités

Conduct daily inspections of dam works and monitor conformance to design/specs.
Monitor material usage and inspect concrete, earth fill, spillways.
Identify defects, ensure compliance with HSE policies, and maintain inspection records.
Submit daily and weekly progress reports; review contractor inspection/test results.
Coordinate with design teams and participate in project meetings.
