Job summary

Astek in the Philippines is seeking a cybersecurity Detection Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our security team. You will drive detection capabilities, run security assessments, and contribute to risk-based monitoring initiatives.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, applying CTI, and working with cloud exposures across AWS/Azure/GCP. Certifications CEH/GIAC are preferred, and scripting in Python or PowerShell is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as cybersecurity detection engineer.
• Rich experience in security assessments and questionnaires (VDD/ODD, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Experience with ASM/EASM, cyber exposure, or digital risk/dark-web monitoring platforms, and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
• Scripting in Python or PowerShell to automate tasks and build reporting dashboards on data lake platforms.

• Rich experience in running security assessments and questionnaires (VDD/ODD, SIG) and control frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Experience with ASM/EASM, cyber exposure, or digital risk/dark-web monitoring platforms, and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
• Scripting knowledge either in Python, PowerShell to automate tasks and build reporting dashboards on data lake platforms.
• Experience of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, common cloud exposures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience in building operational dashboards.
• Certifications: CEH, GIAC (GSEC, GCIH)
