Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Technology Consulting Intern to join the Internship Talent Pool in 2027. You will assist in VAPT, Security Assessments, and Data Privacy engagements while building practical cybersecurity and risk management skills.

You will work under supervision with the engagement team, gain hands-on experience with tools and methodologies, and develop research, reporting, and communication skills in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate student enrolled in any technology-related programs
• Possesses foundational knowledge in cybersecurity, research, and risk assessment
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in deploying VAPT tools on KPMG approved target hosts.
• Assist in preparing and running automated tools to identify vulnerabilities in systems and networks.
• Research appropriate exploits for identified vulnerabilities during penetration testing, with supervisor approval before execution.
• Assist in generating raw reports of vulnerability assessment scans and penetration tests.
• Research latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and learn new VAPT tools and techniques.
• Research on potential threats and vulnerabilities in the organization's systems and infrastructure.
• Gather raw reports, findings, and recommendations from the Security Assessment tool with supervisor approval.
• Draft minutes of meeting for review and approval of engagement supervisor and manager.
• Research latest industry standards, best practices, and emerging risks in cybersecurity.
• Assist in gathering data during privacy assessments and document results.
• Identify privacy risks and concerns during assessments.
• Draft minutes of privacy assessment meetings.
• Research trends in local and international data privacy practices.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned.
