Job summary

Asurion is seeking a Cyber Intrusion Analyst II to support the Cyber Command Center with monitoring, analysis, and response across global security services. The role emphasizes collaboration with IT Operations, Development, and Cloud Governance to detect, investigate, and remediate threats in a high-stress, team-based environment.

The candidate should have 3+ years in security roles, familiarity with SIEMs, IDS/IPS, DLP, and forensic tools, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS or related field desirable; practical experience considered.
• MS in CS/IS or related field desired.
• 3+ years in computing and information security in a global setting is ideal.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, EnCE or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of core network protocols (TCP/IP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS).
• Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, forensic tools, and endpoint security.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors intrusion detection and prevention sensors and related security infrastructure.
• Collects, assesses, and reports threat intelligence and modifies tactical operations.
• Responds to Tier I & II alerts and events with analysis.
• Assesses network traffic for indicators of malicious activity.
• Supports prompt and effective response to information security incidents.
• Remediates vulnerabilities and exposures across the enterprise.
• Generates and delivers reports from security tools and GSOC activities.
• Supports forensic investigations and penetration testing activities.
• Assists with cloud security posture improvements in the Asurion environment.
• Updates knowledge on emerging security practices and standards.
