Job summary

REST Solution Corp in Manila seeks a Cyber Incident Training Officer to lead crisis coordination within CERT, focusing on preparation, training, and improving response to major cyber incidents. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on incident management.

You design tabletop exercises, produce training materials, and collaborate with the Cyber Defense Center to ensure compliant, timely, and traceable incident handling. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimal Operational experience in cybersecurity (2 years).
• Not being a Technical expert, but understanding cyber-attacks and IT architectures.
• Flexibility in working hours during CRISIS (extra hours compensated).
• Ability to rapidly analyze chaotic situations and communicate findings clearly.
• Proficiency in incident management practices, including crisis logs and decision documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure with rigor and discretion.
• Strong ability to synthesize information and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to convey complex info.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver engaging training content and simulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of information security incident management processes (ISO 27035, NIST, SANS).
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• A. Cyber incident – Crisis coordinator/secretary within the tactical cell: Chronologically record events, decisions, alerts, and actions from activation to deactivation.
• Maintain crisis logs, tracking actions, deadlines, and status.
• Draft regular situation updates and decision records; update tracking spreadsheets.
• Disseminate information to stakeholders and ensure traceability of decisions.
• Assist in organizing status meetings with agendas and materials.
• B. Cyber incident training officer within CERT: Design and facilitate tabletop exercises and simulations to assess and improve team preparedness.
• Produce and disseminate educational materials (presentations, guides, online modules) on incident response.
• Collaborate with the Cyber Defense Center and CERT on projects, improvements, and compliance efforts.
