Overview
Patient Care Coordinators support non-clinical calls and helps various patient populations with scheduling, appointments, inbound and outbound calls.
Responsibilities
Answer all incoming external and internal callsResponsible for scheduling appointments for all health centers through the electronic health recordsUpdate patient demographics on the electronic health record as neededPerform outreach calls to patients who have missed their appointments and other outbound calls as needed for the health centerAssist in some clerical and support duties which may include, but not limited to, taking messages and word processingAssist with peer training for development and support of new call center personnel to ensure their knowledge of the company’s appointment availability, lines of business, services provided, and other significant information delivered to patients.Conduct calls according to established policy and procedure governing quality benchmarks; assist in CQI activities as neededAct as a successful team member by being receptive to feedback and coachingFollow all standard operating procedures and display reliability and have willingness to develop and consistently improvePerform other duties as neededMust be flexible to work within the hours of 8pm-8am EST all holidays and weekendsQualifications
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- Six or more months of general business experience, preferably in a customer service environment, or the equivalent in related work experience
- Demonstrates the ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm
- Demonstrates general knowledge of Windows PC, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, CIB,Tower, and BSA
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills
