Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recent graduate in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on kitchen experience).
• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety principles.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and batch recipes.
• Good manual dexterity and speed for high-volume packing and prep tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff and kitchen team leaders in sorting, washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning raw ingredients.
• Ensure all food prep workstations are kept clean, organized, and properly sanitized throughout the shift.
• Pack, seal, and assemble finished food products and sub-assemblies for delivery to stores.
• Apply accurate labels specifying product names, manufacturing dates, expiration dates, batch numbers, and storage instructions.
• Organize packed items into designated storage areas (chillers, freezers, dry storage) according to stock rotation rules.
• Maintain proper personal hygiene, including wearing required protective gear (hairnets, gloves, aprons, slip-resistant shoes).
• Support the dispatch team by staging, organizing, and double-checking orders prior to delivery.
