Job summary

Infinit-O in the Philippines is seeking a Medical Biller to process and submit insurance claims, verify patient coverage, and handle inbound calls about denials and billing questions.

You will review records for compliance, follow up on unpaid claims, and communicate with insurers, providers, and patients to resolve issues while keeping accurate billing documentation and staying current with coding regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and claims processing is required.
• Proficient in English (CEFR B2) and written communication.
• Knowledge of billing regulations and coding standards.

About the role

Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies accurately and efficiently. Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility for medical services. Handle inbound calls (approx. 5 to 7 calls daily) regarding claim denial notifications and general billing inquiries. Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with billing regulations and coding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies accurately and efficiently
• Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility for medical services
• Handle inbound calls (approx. 5 to 7 calls daily) regarding claim denial notifications and general billing inquiries
• Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with billing regulations and coding standards
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, investigating discrepancies and resubmitting claims as necessary
• Communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to resolve billing inquiries and disputes
• Generate and send patient statements for outstanding balances, following up on payments and payment arrangements
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy laws
• Stay informed about changes in medical billing codes, regulations, and insurance policies
• Collaborate with other medical billing staff and healthcare providers to streamline billing processes and improve revenue cycle management

About you

• College Level - Graduate/Undergraduate
• At least 1 year experience as a Medical Biller
• Experience handling inbound phone calls and patient/provider customer service
• Deep understanding of Medical Billing Requirements for Commercial and Medicare/Medicaid plans
• Excellent Communication Skills (Oral and Written)
• English B2 CEFR
• Keen attention to details
