Job summary

Fundación Biofísica Bizkaia invites applications for a researcher to join the Structure and Cell Biology of Viruses Laboratory at IBF, working on a project about unraveling viral pathogenesis through structural analysis of virus-host interactions and assembly.

The successful candidate will contribute to virus production and purification, sample preparation for cryo-EM/cryo-ET, image processing and data analysis, and general laboratory activities, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering or related field with outstanding academics.
• Interest in structural biology, virology or cryo-EM/cryo-ET or related areas is expected; training provided.
• Excellent motivation for experimental research and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support virus production and purification.
• Prepare and handle samples for structural studies.
• Conduct cryo-EM and cryo-ET experiments and image processing.
• Engage in general laboratory activities and data analysis.
