Job summary

Vertiv in the Philippines seeks a Technical Support Engineer for Critical Power Systems to deliver regional technical support for data centres, telecoms, industrial and mission-critical applications across Asia Pacific. You will own complex field issues from commissioning through fault investigation and lifecycle support, collaborating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with critical power, data centres or telecoms is highly desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting, ownership and clear customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of complex faults and escalations through to resolution.
• Analyse alarms, event logs, waveforms and settings.
• Lead technical investigations and root cause analysis across system-level causes.
• Provide remote and onsite support during troubleshooting, commissioning and critical events.
• Review commissioning procedures, test scripts and technical documentation.
• Coordinate escalations with Engineering, Quality, Product Management and manufacturing facilities.
• Develop service procedures, troubleshooting guides and technical advisories.
• Deliver technical training and mentoring to field personnel.
• Identify recurring field issues and support permanent corrective actions.
• Provide input into spare-parts strategy, obsolescence and end-of-life support.
• Maintain focus on electrical safety (isolation, backfeed, earthing, high-energy DC).
