The ideal candidate possesses at least 5 years of banking experience and a strong background in credit risk due diligence. Responsibilities include writing credit reports, conducting industry studies, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. This role requires onsite work in Taguig from Monday to Friday.

Overview

Role Purpose: To make independent credit assessment and review of the Banks potential and existing corporate borrowers so as to maintain or even improve the quality of the Banks credit portfolio and asset quality. Ensure that the highest standards of credit due diligence are conducted on all Corporate Banking accounts with credit facilities or on boarding.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Write credit due diligence report for corporate banking accounts and provides comments regarding credit proposal information that should be presented to Credit Committee (CRECOM).
  2. Conduct independent assessment for account review due to negative news, material adverse event, thematic portfolio review and as required by management.
  3. Review credit analysis of financial statements of accounts. Validate prepared financial spreadsheet and financial projection, if necessary. Review frontlines inputs for credit rating and evaluate the reasonableness of the rating result independently.
  4. Recognize risks such as management ability/ownership risk; financial risk; operational and industry risk; risks pertaining to facility structure and provide mitigating factors of said risks.
  5. Review group/borrowers credit history through looking at the banks own records/ credit folders.
  6. Interpret and analyze credit documents such as credit investigation report and appraisal report which contributes to overall assessment of creditability and collateral quality.
  7. Support secretarial tasks for CRECOM, process in credit approval system (CCMS) and rating system (CWFRA) accordingly and prepare CRECOM minutes.
  8. Coordinate and facilitate the pre-clearance meeting for new account / new facility and prepare the minutes accordingly.
  9. Conduct client / plant visit with Relationship Manager, if needed.
  10. Conduct industry studies for risk appetite of the Branch and support preparation of credit guidelines issued by Risk Management Department.
  11. Safe keep credit folder for signed documents during credit review in line with department operation manual and SOPs.
  12. Support tasks and reports required by internal and external auditor / regulator. Correct internal/external findings on time, add new identified issues in trouble shooting document make sure no repeated errors during credit processing.
  13. Keep abreast of the latest policy / regulatory requirements and risk appetite from Regional Headquarters and Head Office. Support Customer Group Management within Group.
  14. Conduct compliance checking on credit accounts, including but not limited to: compliance with approval conditions, periodic review of KYC information, SBL, AFRD, approval credit limits, appropriateness of credit rating, loan classification and provisioning levels, etc.

Job Specifications:

  • CFA, FRA holder an advantage
  • At least 5 years of experience in banking industry
  • At least 5 years of experience with corporate credit risk due diligence
  • Master the knowledge of financial analysis, cashflow projections, sector study
