Job summary

Metrobank in The Shops, BGC seeks a Credit Portfolio Manager (Junior Officer) to oversee credit risk management across the portfolio and ensure proper evaluation of proposals from Lending Units.

You will coordinate with various departments to secure approvals, monitor account performance, and implement remedial actions for non-performing loans while developing talent within the team. This role requires strong analysis and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of credit analysis experience.
• Experience in team management is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking for approving and recommending credit proposals.
• Knowledge of risk framework, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and reviews the analysis and evaluation of loan proposals from Lending Units using various credit tools to determine credit worthiness.
• Guarantees quality and timely completion of account renewals and evaluation of prospective borrowers.
• Assess credit risk ratings and classifications and ensure compliance with policies.
• Coordinates with Lending Units to monitor account status and performance.
• Partners with Credit Administration, Credit Control and Documentation, Legal to secure approvals and proper documentation.
• Maintain records of work metrics and ensure timely reviews; monitor portfolio performance and address non-performing loans.
• Support talent development and career progression within the team.
