Work Arrangement:

This role is categorized as hybrid, requiring the successful candidate to report to the office three times per week or as dictated by the business.

The Role

Serve as a Strategic Business Partner, providing timely and insightful decisions on strategic and tactical matters related to SEC requirements, accounting, audit/SOX compliance, and financial analyses. Leverage financial systems and processes to increase clarity, improve efficiency, shorten decision cycles, and reinforce financial integrity and accountability.

What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for executing and supporting operational tasks, including:

  • Statutory Year-End Audit
  • Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements and notes disclosures under Local GAAP, ensuring compliance with regulatory and external reporting deadlines
  • Account reconciliation between local GAAP and US GAAP, validating postings in local ledgers
  • Creating and analyzing Statutory Journal Entries based on financial information from US GAAP to Local GAAP (e.g., IFRS)
  • Preparing supporting documentation for statutory financial statements in line with local GAAP for external audits
  • Maintaining knowledge of accounting standards and developments affecting the business/country
  • Supporting external audit processes by preparing audit files in collaboration with colleagues, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Providing clear reporting and data analysis to identify reporting improvements
  • Ensuring all milestones of the statutory reporting cycle are met to avoid risks from late filings
  • Maintaining documentation in accordance with SOX requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with GM policies and external regulations
  • Interacting with internal and external parties, including Business Units, Global Controllers, Finance Teams, and External Auditors
  • Managing relationships with external auditors to ensure efficient audits and excellent reports
  • Maintaining a strong control focus, promptly addressing accounting or control issues
  • Driving process improvements to enhance statutory reporting quality and efficiency
  • Utilizing SAP system skills (t-codes, asset modules) and navigating the One Source Reporting (OSR) Tool
  • Supporting BCP, BIA activities, and updating EUCA Files
