About the role

Kintetsu World Express Phils., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. As a full-time CPA: Chief Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
• Manage the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
• Analyse and interpret financial data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to the management team
• Develop and implement effective financial controls and procedures to mitigate risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and business objectives
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

What we're looking for

• A qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of financial accounting and reporting, including the ability to interpret and apply relevant accounting standards
• Proficient in the use of financial software and data analysis tools
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address financial issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a commitment to accurate and timely financial reporting
• Familiarity with the logistics and transportation industry is preferred
