Job summary

ValtaTech in the Philippines/Malaysia is seeking a forward-thinking Functional Architect to help reshape delivery using AI, automation, and scalable design practices. This role focuses on solution design, client workshops, and functional architecture.

You will translate requirements into clear documentation, collaborate with delivery teams through build, UAT, training, and hypercare, and apply AI tools to improve productivity and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Functional Consultant / Functional Architect / Solution Architect.
• Strong background in solution design and running client workshops.
• Experience in Business Process Design (BPD).
• Functional specifications and configuration.
• UAT support and stakeholder engagement.
• Familiarity with procurement or finance platforms (e.g., Coupa).
• Ability to design simple, effective, and scalable solutions.
• Strong documentation skills with attention to completeness and accuracy.
• Experience working across multiple project phases and stakeholders.
• Exposure to or willingness to adopt AI tools in daily work.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate client workshops to gather and define business requirements.
• Design end-to-end functional solutions that are scalable, efficient, and future-proof.
• Own and produce functional deliverables (e.g., BPDs, IRDs, configuration designs).
• Translate requirements into clear, structured documentation using Markdown and Git-based workflows.
• Collaborate with delivery teams across build, UAT, training, and hypercare phases.
• Ensure high-quality design sign-offs to minimize rework and downstream issues.
• Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to capture and summarize outputs and to generate and refine documentation.
• Improve accuracy, completeness, and efficiency; focus on design and architecture rather than execution-heavy tasks.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation standards to reduce dependency on individuals.
• Continuously improve delivery processes through automation and AI adoption.

About the Role

We are looking for a forward-thinking Functional Architect to join Valtatech at a key transformation stage. This role is not a traditional consulting position—you will help shape how modern delivery works using AI, automation, and scalable design practices.

You will focus on solution design, client workshops, and functional architecture, while leveraging AI to improve productivity, documentation quality, and delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end functional solutions that are scalable, efficient, and future-proof
