Job summary

The SM Store (SM Mart Inc.) is seeking an organized Counter Operations Assistant to support the Counter Manager and Branch leadership in delivering a smooth customer experience and efficient operations.

You will ensure staff follow customer engagement initiatives, maintain the POS system, direct customer flow to reduce queues, and schedule cashiers and checkers while covering absences. A background in banking operations or cashiering and knowledge of credit card processes are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College degree in any business-related course.
• With at least 1 year of experience in bank operations or counter-cashier functions.
• Knowledgeable in credit card transaction processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that staff are practicing customer engagement initiatives.
• Ensure completeness and usability of the POS system and its peripherals.
• Direct customer traffic to other available counters to manage queuing.
• Prepare and monitor work schedule of cashiers and checkers and manage absences by reassigning staff.
