Job summary

Smart Power Electric Corporation in Cavite City is seeking a Cost Engineer / Electrical Estimator to join our project team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, review drawings, and develop BOMs to support bids and cost control.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and preferably a licensed PE, with experience in cost engineering for large-scale electrical or construction projects. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cost software are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for electrical systems, materials, labour, and equipment.

• Review engineering plans, specifications, and technical drawings to validate project cost assumptions.

• Develop and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) and detailed cost breakdown structures.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure cost alignment across all project phases.

• Monitor project expenditures and prepare cost variance and forecast reports.

• Participate in bid preparation, tender evaluations, and value engineering initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), safety regulations, and internal company guidelines.

• Support overall project cost control and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Preferably a Licensed Electrical Engineer.

• Demonstrated experience in cost engineering, electrical estimating, or involvement in large-scale electrical or construction projects.
