Smart Power Electric Corporation in Cavite City is seeking a Cost Engineer / Electrical Estimator to join our project team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical systems, review drawings, and develop BOMs to support bids and cost control.
The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering and preferably a licensed PE, with experience in cost engineering for large-scale electrical or construction projects. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cost software are essential.
Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for electrical systems, materials, labour, and equipment.
Review engineering plans, specifications, and technical drawings to validate project cost assumptions.
Develop and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) and detailed cost breakdown structures.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure cost alignment across all project phases.
Monitor project expenditures and prepare cost variance and forecast reports.
Participate in bid preparation, tender evaluations, and value engineering initiatives.
Ensure compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), safety regulations, and internal company guidelines.
Support overall project cost control and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Preferably a Licensed Electrical Engineer.
Demonstrated experience in cost engineering, electrical estimating, or involvement in large-scale electrical or construction projects.

Proficiency in MS Excel, cost estimating software, and project management tools.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple project deadlines.
Experience in smart power systems, substations, industrial electrical works, or major infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with Philippine industry standards and government procurement guidelines.
