Job summary

Ulticon Builders, Inc. is seeking a cost analyst to collaborate with Operations to ensure BOM accuracy and to plan and analyze costs across direct materials, labor, and overhead. The role involves comparing actuals to budgets, investigating variances, and delivering monthly cost and profitability reports.

You will also assist with month-end and year-end closing activities within the general ledger. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in cost control and project

Responsibilities

• Interacts with Operations to ensure Bills of Materials (BOM) are accurate and up to date
• Plans, studies and collects data to determine costs of business activity such as direct materials, direct labor and overhead
• Analyzes actual labor, material, and overhead cost against Standard/Budget. Researches and explains variances. Reports this information monthly or as needed
• Records cost information for use in controlling expenditures
• Analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports
• Prepares and analyzes project cost report by comparing budget versus actual
• Prepares and analyzes project profitability report; provides productivity analysis per project basis
• Assists in the month-end and year-end closing of general ledger.
