Job Description

The Cost Accountant role focuses on cost accounting, inventory valuation, and operational finance. The individual will work with production and supply chain teams to analyze costs, maintain costing systems, support month-end close, and provide cost insights to improve profitability.

  • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, documents, and records.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Monitor and report on inventory valuation, cost trends, and profitability.
  • Conduct cost analysis for new and existing products.
  • Prepare and analyze budget and forecast reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to understand cost drivers and implement cost control measures.
  • Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
  • Assist in internal and external audits as required.
  • Recommend cost-efficient and financially beneficial solutions to upper management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
