Job Overview:
As a Cost Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and analyzing the cost structure of our products and services. You will work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control strategies are in place to support the company’s financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and manage product cost structures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare monthly cost reports, including variances analysis and recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with operations, production, and finance teams to track and analyze costs and inventory.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor and ensure compliance with cost accounting standards and policies.
Perform regular audits of cost data and provide insights to improve profitability.
Support internal and external audits as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in cost accounting or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
