Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Pampanga is seeking an experienced cost accountant to manage inventory valuation, cost analysis, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting and possess strong proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Business Central. This role emphasizes collaboration with production and process management while contributing to cost control initiatives and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

INVENTORY & MONTH END CLOSING

1) Ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

2) Perform month-end cost accounting entries and inventory reconciliations.

3) Review inventory adjustments and investigate discrepancies.

VARIANCE ANALYSIS

1) Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances versus BOM and Routing Cost.

2) Monitor recorded Consumption of materials in Production Orders and its impact to FG Valuation.

3) Monitor recorded Production Runtimes and its impact to FG Valuation.

4) Assist in identification of root causes of production inefficiencies.

5) Prepare monthly variance reports for the Financial Controller and management.

COST CONTROL

1) Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

2) Work with Production and Process Management to implement corrective actions.

FINANCIAL REPORTING & COMPLIANCE

1) Prepare cost-related financial reports for the Financial Controller, as needed.

2) Support in providing Government required reporting related to inventory (e.g. BIR Inventory List, PEZA – EZMPR).

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems preferably Microsoft Business Central and Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Production and Process Management.
