Job summary

Eng Teknologi Sdn. Bhd. in Cebu City seeks a Senior Finance professional to lead monthly closings, inventory costing and reporting. You will optimize controls and drive accuracy across inventory sub-ledgers and GL, supporting strategic decisions.

You will collaborate with operations, auditors, and tax authorities, ensuring compliance with standards and company policies while mentoring junior staff and delivering timely management reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in finance/accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and closing processes.
• Hands-on experience in inventory accounting and cost analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monthly closing activities in inventory accounting; reconcile sub-ledgers with GL.
• Coordinate stock takes with operation team on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
• Prepare management reports and financial analysis for decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulators.
• Drive process improvements in financial operations and reporting.

Job description

· Perform monthly closing activities, particularly in the area of inventory accounting, which includes reconciling inventory sub-ledgers with GL, ensure inventory transactions are all properly captured, performing standard cost roll up on quarterly basis and prepare reports for inventory provision and aging on a monthly basis.

· Work closely with operation team to carry out stock take on a quarterly basis.

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

· Prepare management reports and financial analysis to support decision-making.

· Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.

· Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations and reporting.

· Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.

Requirements:

· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
