The Corporate Actions Assistant helps process company updates for stock listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE)—such as cash or extra stock payouts, share splits, and mergers. Working within the operations team, this role handles day-to-day tasks: tracking market announcements, calculating stock and cash allocations for client accounts, entering client choices into the system, and updating account balances accurately and on time.
Event Capture & Monitoring: Track daily PSE disclosure portals and PDTC bulletins to log and capture upcoming mandatory and voluntary corporate events.
Entitlement Calculation: Compute cash and stock distributions based on client holdings on the record date, applying standard tax rate deductions.
Instruction Processing: Receive, log, and encode client choices for voluntary events (e. g., rights offerings, dividend options) before depository cutoff dates.
Posting & Reconciliation: Post approved cash and stock distributions to client ledgers and perform routine position reconciliations against PDTC statements.
Operational Support: Respond to basic client and internal inquiries regarding event schedules, entitlement status, and payout dates.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration, or Economics.
Experience: 1 to 2 years in stock brokerage operations, custody, or general trade administration (fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome).
Technical Skills:
Basic to intermediate knowledge of PSE market practices and PDTC clearing workflows.
Proficiency in MS Excel (data formatting, standard functions, basic VLOOKUP) for daily ledger work.
Core Behaviors: Strong attention to detail, reliable organizational skills, and ability to meet strict operational cutoffs.
