Job summary

Orica is seeking a Coordinator - Accounting to support regional business partnering through accurate financial reporting, analysis, budgeting support, and commercial insights.

You will work closely with Finance Business Partners, operational leaders, and the Finance Analytics & Insights Hub to provide meaningful financial information for decision-making and performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• At least 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or commercial analysis.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
• Advanced Excel and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work with Finance Business Partners and key stakeholders across Global Support, and the broader Finance organization to provide timely, accurate, and value-added financial insights and support.
• Support monthly close activities and ensure compliance with reporting timelines
• Prepare accurate financial and performance reports for regional stakeholders
• Assist Finance Business Partners with operational and commercial analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
• Monitor and analyse fixed costs, cost drivers, and business performance trends
• Identify performance variances and assist with corrective action recommendations
• Support compliance with Orica financial standards, policies, and reporting requirements
• Deliver ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as required
• Collaborate with the Finance Analytics Hub and wider Finance team to continuously improve reporting and insights

What you will bring

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
• At least 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or commercial analysis roles
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis skills
• Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights to stakeholders
• Experience working with ERP systems, with SAP experience highly regarded
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
