MicroSourcing in Cebu City, Philippines is seeking a Controller to lead financial operations, reporting, and internal controls. The role partners with the CFO and US teams to ensure accurate cross-border finance functions and may oversee day-to-day Philippines office operations and HR admin.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in finance, strong GAAP knowledge, and proven people leadership. Prior ERP experience (Acumatica preferred) and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, manufacturing or project-based industries.
• At least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role with direct reports.
• Deep, applied knowledge of U.S. GAAP in a mid-market manufacturing context.
• Demonstrated history of building and enforcing internal controls with data integrity focus.
• Proven people manager capable of leading an accounting team and serving as local office leader.
• Hands-on ERP experience with Acumatica, including implementation or optimization.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

The Controller will serve as a senior finance leader responsible for the integrity offinancial operations, reporting, and internal controls. We are looking for a seasoned professionalwho can own the full accounting function and deliver the reporting and analysis that leadershipneeds to make informed decisions. The Controller will be based in the Philippines and will workclosely with the CFO and cross-functional teams in the U.S. to ensure financial operations runaccurately and efficiently across the organization. The right candidate may also serve as thelocal office manager, with responsibility for day-to-day office operations and basic HRadministration for Philippines-based staff.

Core Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Close

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process end to end, ensuringaccuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages forthe CFO and leadership team.
• Maintain and continuously improve the general ledger structure, chart of accounts, andcost allocation methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable local accounting standards.

2. Internal Controls & Compliance

• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls across all financial processes,including segregation of duties, approval workflows, and reconciliation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements in coordination withexternal advisors.
• Support external audits and manage relationships with auditors and tax consultants.
• Monitor and enforce company financial policies and procedures.

3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with the CFO and departmentheads.
• Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, scenario models, and variance analysis tosupport strategic decision-making.
• Provide financial analysis on key business initiatives, capital expenditures, andoperational performance.
• Track financial KPIs and deliver regular performance commentary to leadership.

4. Cash Management

• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and capitalcommitments.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Manage banking relationships and treasury functions as delegated by the CFO.

5. Philippines Office Management

• Serve as the local office manager for APS's Philippines-based team, ensuring smoothday-to-day operations.
• Act as the primary liaison between Philippines-based employees and U.S.-basedfunctional managers, ensuring clear communication and alignment with companyobjectives.
• Foster a professional, collaborative, and accountable work environment in the localoffice.

Qualifications:

10–15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, predominantly inmanufacturing or project-based industries.

At least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role with direct reports.

Deep, applied knowledge of U.S. GAAP in a mid-market manufacturing context.

Demonstrated history of building and enforcing internal controls, with a strong personalcommitment to data integrity and security.

Proven people manager who can lead an accounting team and serve as a local officeleader.

Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Acumatica strongly preferred) includingimplementation, configuration, or optimization of financial modules.

Genuine interest in and aptitude for AI, automation, and data architecture as applied tofinance.

Excellent English communication skills—written and verbal—with the ability to operateeffectively across time zones with U.S.-based leadership.
