Job summary

San Miguel Corporation is seeking a Control Engineer to support the Chief Control Engineer in optimizing refinery process control. The role focuses on monitoring control loops, alarms, and safety interlocks, and on developing control logic for the DCS and safeguarding systems.

The position requires a licensed chemical engineer with relevant refinery experience and familiarity with Yokogawa DCS programming. Willingness to be assigned in Bataan is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Chemical Engineer.
• 2–5 years of petroleum refining experience preferred.
• Experience with Yokogawa DCS programming is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise and assist Chief Control Engineer to ensure optimal function of refinery process control layer; monitor control loops, alarms and safety interlocks.

Job description

The Control Engineer is responsible for advising and assisting the Chief Control Engineer in ensuring the optimal function of the refinery’s process control layer, specifically monitoring control loops, alarms and safety interlocks, as well as development and implementation of control logic for Distributed Control System and safety logic in Safeguarding Systems.

Job Requirements

• Preferably with two (2) to five (5) years of petroleum refining experience
• Experience in Yokogawa Distributed Control System programming and knowledge in refinery process control systems would be an advantage
