Responsibilities

• Plan the project: Develop a timeline and budget, and estimate costs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Manage the project: Recruit and train subcontractors, and oversee existing staff.
• Communicate with clients: Meet with clients to discuss the project, address questions, and provide guidance.
• Ensure safety: Ensure a safe work environment for employees, and comply with laws and regulations.
• Inspect the work: Monitor the work throughout the project to ensure it meets the client's requirements.
• Apply for permits: Secure the necessary building permits and licenses.
• Purchase materials: Source and acquire materials and equipment required for the project.
• Manage subcontractors: Negotiate with subcontractors on behalf of the client.
• Manage waste: Properly dispose of and recycle waste materials.
• Follow up on jobs: Confirm that the project is completed to the client's satisfaction.
