Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Construction Management Officer to coordinate all renovation and construction needs for branches and head office units nationwide. The role involves coordinating with external architects/designers, contractors and suppliers, inspecting sites, and ensuring timely execution and documentation of projects.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and at least 5 years of relevant construction management and design experience, with duties including

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in construction management and design.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with External Architects/ Designers, Contractors and Suppliers for all renovation/construction requirements of branches and Head Office units nationwide.
• Inspects proposed project sites with Business Units and External Architects/ Designers.
• Processes the timely submission of preliminary layout and drawings for review and approval by Unit Heads.
• Conducts pre-construction conferences prior to mobilization of projects to ensure awareness of activities and timelines with contractors and the branch.
• Coordinates with units/branches/CEG-BISSD and Contractors for actual project implementation.
• Ensures timely delivery of Owner Supplied Materials on site and coordinates payments for services rendered.
• Inspects projects and verifies percentage of accomplishment including punch-listing and turnover.
• Ensures projects completed within prescribed turnaround time and implements cost-saving measures.
• Reviews payments for services rendered during and upon completion of projects.
• Ensures all completed projects are fully documented on each 201 file.

Position Title:

Construction Management Officer

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinates with External Architects / Designers , Contractors and Suppliers all renovation/construction requirements of branches, and Head office units nationwide
• Inspects proposed project sites together with CEG-BISSD Business Units & External Architects / Designers
• Process the timely submission of preliminary layout and drawings for the review and approval of Unit Heads
• Conducts pre-construction conferences prior to mobilization of projects to ensure that contractors and the branch are aware of the activities and timelines during branch renovation.
• Coordinates with concerned units/branches/CEG-BISSD and Contractors the actual implementation of construction projects
• Coordinate with the supplier and facilitate the timely delivery of Owner Supplied Materials on site.
• Coordinates with the External Architects / Designers and Contractors the implementation of projects and review and endorse payment for services rendered during and upon completion of the projects
• Secures construction/renovation inputs/requirements of other bank units (e.g. ITG, RBG, etc.) needed to complete the project
• Inspects projects and verifies percentage of accomplishment including punch-listing and turnover of completed projects
• Ensures construction and renovation work are completed within the prescribed turn-around time ( TAT )
• Implements cost efficiency and cost savings measures, wherever applicable
• Review payment for services rendered during and upon completion of the projects
• Ensures that all completed projects are fully documented on each 201 file.
• Recommends new ideas and systems procedure that maybe adopted for the improvement of department.
• Undertakes any other duties that may be assigned/required by management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in construction management and design
