Job summary

Mevbuilt Incorporated is seeking a Construction Equipment Officer to manage acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and disposition of construction equipment, ensuring optimal condition to support projects and minimize downtime.

You will plan equipment needs, maintain accurate inventories, implement preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance while coordinating with logistics, maintenance, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• College level or Graduate education required.
• Experience: At least 2 years as Equipment Officer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair principles.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance mechanics and monitor PMS reports for vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinate parts procurement and maintenance timelines to minimize downtime.
• Recruit on-call driver/operator as needed and manage inventory of maintenance materials.
• Oversee mobilization and deployment of vehicles/equipment and maintain repair history records.
• Report equipment status and maintenance progress to Equipment and Asset Manager weekly.

Job description

The Construction Equipment Officer is responsible for managing, coordinating, and monitoring all activities related to the acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and disposition of construction equipment and machinery. The role ensures that all equipment is in optimal operating condition to support project requirements, minimize downtime, and promote cost-efficient operations. The officer also assists in planning equipment needs, maintaining accurate inventory records, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the activities/routine of maintenance mechanics
• Monitor/review the PMS reports of vehicles and equipment under Logistics and Equipment Sections
• PR generation of parts and other materials used in maintenance of machines and equipment
• Supervise parts expediter/canvasser activities
• In charge of recruiting on-call driver/operator whenever necessary
• Monitor the inventory of maintenance materials
• In charge of mobilization of vehicles and equipment
• Maintain/review records of the history file of repair and maintenance of equipment
• Report weekly to the Equipment and Asset Manager about the equipment and vehicles maintenance status

Experience

• At least 2 years relative experience as Equipment Officer

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair principles
• Understanding of construction logistics, scheduling, and resource allocation
• Ability to interpret equipment manuals, service records, and technical drawings
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing equipment performance and maintenance reports
