Job summary

Chroma Hospitality, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Cost Engineer to oversee cost monitoring on assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and complete reporting.

You will lead cost engineers and collaborate with project teams to maintain robust cost control and reporting processes, including cost-to-complete analyses. The ideal candidate has a licensed engineering credential (civil preferred) and at least five years in construction, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed Engineer (preferably Civil).
• With at least 5 years working experience in construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly cost reports, including new budget report templates and Cost-to-Complete analyses.
• Update budget reports for all awarded contract packages, change orders, and purchase orders.
• Maintain updated cost reports for contract listings and variation order listings.
• Reallocate budget for OSM to serve as a reference for E-procurement and external construction management.
• Collaborate with departments such as Business Development, Accounting, Planning, Construction Management, and Contract Administration to facilitate budget reallocations as needed.
• Reconcile Budget Report Monitoring with records from Accounting, Contract Administration, and Planning.
• Coordinate with various departments to address budget-related issues and concerns.
• Providing estimated unit cost for the OSM, and coordinate with relevant departments regarding possible budget reallocations for the OSM.
• Monitor, review, and approve purchase requests (PR) in E-procurement.
• Providing detailed budget data (cost per sqm, unit cost data) that can be easily extracted and identified as a basis for awarding new contracts or change orders.
• Collaborate with the PMO to develop and digitize the budget report template and other management-required reports.
• Supervises sub-ordinates on the given tasks.
