Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a Construction Associate (LineMan) to provide on-site technical support and supervise tower erection and conductor stringing for a 230kV transmission line project in the Philippines. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in high-voltage transmission line projects.
• Experience with 138kV, 230kV or higher voltage transmission lines.
• Knowledge of tower erection, conductor stringing, QA/QC, and safety compliance.
• Experience supporting EPC, Owner’s Engineer, or construction supervision teams.
• Ability to interpret transmission line drawings and construction procedures.
• Strong communication, coordination, and computer skills.
• Willing to work on-site in Botolan, Zambales.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support transmission tower erection activities.
• Monitor conductor stringing, sagging, clipping, and related transmission line works.
• Verify that construction activities are performed in accordance with approved work methods, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with the EPC Contractor's field personnel regarding daily work progress and site issues.
• Attend site inspections and report quality, safety, and technical concerns.
• Assist in tracking construction progress and identifying schedule risks.
• Support punch listing and resolution of construction deficiencies.
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide technical input on transmission line activities.
• Prepare daily or weekly reports on site observations and progress.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager or assigned lead.

Job Summary

The Transmission Line Lineman will provide technical support and site supervision during the tower erection and conductor stringing activities of the 230kV Palauig–Botolan Transmission Line Project. The role will focus on monitoring construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and safety requirements, and supporting the project team in achieving the target schedule for project energization.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support transmission tower erection activities.
• Monitor conductor stringing, sagging, clipping, and related transmission line works.
• Verify that construction activities are performed in accordance with approved work methods, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with the EPC Contractor's field personnel regarding daily work progress and site issues.
• Participate in site inspections and report quality, safety, and technical concerns.
• Assist in tracking construction progress and identifying schedule risks.
• Support punch listing and resolution of construction deficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in high-voltage transmission line construction projects.

Experience with138kV, 230kV, or higher voltage transmission lines.

Ability to interpret transmission line drawings and construction procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Demands:

• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
• See and hear naturally or with correction.
