Job summary

JG Summit Holdings Inc. is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead governance, accuracy, and continuous improvement of configuration management across our IT environment.

You will own the CMDB, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Asset teams to drive service reliability. The role requires strong ITIL/ITSM experience, CMDB platform knowledge (ServiceNow/BMC), and a data-driven approach to governance and risk management in a complex enterprise

Qualifications

• Experience in Configuration Management / ITSM.
• Solid knowledge of ITIL practices, especially Configuration Management.
• Experience with CMDB platforms (ServiceNow, BMC, or similar).
• Keen eye for data quality, governance, and process control.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Configuration Management framework and CMDB.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration data across infrastructure, applications, and services.
• Define and maintain CI standards, relationships, and lifecycle management.
• Support impact analysis, incident resolution, and change risk assessments.

• Collaborate with Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Asset Management teams.
• Establish and track KPIs, metrics, and reporting for configuration health.

Job description

This role ensures that our configuration data is reliable, actionable, and supports service stability, risk management, and operational efficiency.

• Own and manage the Configuration Management framework and CMDB
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration data across infrastructure, applications, and services
• Define and maintain CI standards, relationships, and lifecycle management
• Support impact analysis, incident resolution, and change risk assessments
• Drive CMDB data quality, audits, and compliance initiatives

The Configuration Manager executes the determined CMDB processes and maintains governance following the various CI, product, or service owners.The Configuration Manager provides gatekeeper alignment.

• Ensuring configuration management activities operate in line with service level targets
• Approve or reject CMDB requests for new CI selection and attribute determination
• Coordinates and interfaces between the configuration of other processes
• Review and analyze CMDB reports and configuration management and management metrics and trends to proactively seek improvements
• Approve Verification and Audit requests
• Provides communication to stakeholders on the health of the CMDB and population gaps by CI/Service and Product Owners that update and maintain their assigned CMDB records

WHAT IS THE JOB LIKE?

• You act as the bridge between IT operations, governance, and service management, ensuring data-driven decision-making
• You work in a fast-paced, enterprise IT environment, dealing with complex systems across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid landscapes
• You are both hands-on and strategic—balancing CMDB operations, governance, and process improvement
• You collaborate with multiple stakeholders, influencing without direct authority
• You play a critical role in reducing risk, improving service reliability, and enabling visibility across IT services
• You will continuously identify gaps, drive standardization, and implement best practices

WHO ARE YOU?

• You have strong experience in Configuration Management / IT Service Management (ITSM)
• You possess solid knowledge of ITIL practices, particularly Configuration Management
• You are experienced with CMDB platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC, or similar tools)
• You have a keen eye for data quality, governance, and process control
• You can translate technical data into meaningful insights for stakeholders and leadership
• You are a problem solver who thrives in complex and ambiguous environments
• You are confident in influencing stakeholders and driving adoption of standards
• You are detail-oriented, analytical, and structured in your approach to work
• ITIL Certification (v4 preferred)
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and other Infrastructure services
• Exposure to automation and discovery tools
• Background in audit, compliance, or risk management
