Job summary

Maxicare Health Care is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound scans, support the medical team, and maintain high imaging standards in a patient-centered clinic.

You will educate patients, ensure accurate history and documentation, and collaborate with Radiologists, OB Sonologists, and other staff to provide timely results. The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Radiologic Technology with PRC license (RRT or RXT) preferred.
• Open to trainable candidates from allied medical course backgrounds with strong clinical aptitude.
• Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Basic understanding of ultrasound machine troubleshooting.
• Tech-savvy with good documentation habits.
• Calm, compassionate, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic.
• Amenable to rotational shifts with graveyard schedule (5-day work week, varying rest days).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, position, and educate patients for ultrasound procedures.
• Perform a variety of ultrasound scans (e.g., whole abdomen, thyroid, breast, KUB, HBT) within turnaround targets.
• Ensure accuracy of patient history, image quality, and scan documentation.
• Operate ultrasound machines and maintain diagnostic equipment cleanliness and functionality.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and OB Sonologists for confirmation of results.
• Assist in special ultrasound procedures and help manage scheduling or patient inquiries.
• Uphold safety protocols, patient confidentiality, and customer service excellence.
• Use PACS, Emedcore, and Lifesys systems to record and manage results.
