Job summary

Maxicare Health Care is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in a Primary Care setting. You will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure image quality, and maintain patient comfort, with hands-on training for allied health entrants and a 1-year service commitment.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, reporting results, and coordinating with Radiologists, OB Sonologists, and schedulers in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Graduate BS Radiologic Technology with PRC license (RRT or RXT).
• Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Basic understanding of ultrasound machine troubleshooting.
• Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment or willing to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, position, and educate patients for ultrasound procedures.
• Perform a variety of ultrasound scans within turnaround targets.
• Ensure accuracy of patient history, image quality, and scan documentation.
• Operate ultrasound machines and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and OB Sonologists for results.
• Assist in special ultrasound procedures and manage scheduling/inquiries.
• Uphold safety, patient confidentiality, and customer service.
• Record and manage results using PACS, Emedcore, Lifesys.
