As a Company Nurse you are in charge of providing comprehensive, equitable, quality occupational health services for workers, coordinating care between various healthcare facilities and individuals. Responsible for providing medical support and assistance to our employees, promoting a healthy work environment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assess the health needs of all employees
- Provide first aid treatment and emergency care to employees who are injured or become ill at work
- Responsible for assisting sick employees to the hospital when necessary and for dropping the employee home.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as needed
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations related to employee health and safety.
- Submit government reports related to the health and safety of the employees
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor as needed
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report any potential hazards
- Educate employees on health and wellness topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
- Maintain confidentiality of employee medical information
- Assist the HR department with employee-related concerns
- Other tasks as may be assigned to you
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Must be registered Nurse
- 1+ years’ experience as a company nurse or in a similar role (Working experience as a company or hospital nurse is a plus)
- Preferable with Safety officer (SO) and Pollution Control Officer (PCO) experience
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of emergency procedures, first aid, CPR and emergency equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
- Must be amenable to work at least 4 hours per day (Monday to Friday) in the office.
