Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive safely and transport cargo between locations while obeying traffic laws and company rules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks on tires, brakes, lights, and fluids.
• Manage cargo loading, unloading, and securing items properly to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate delivery receipts, logbooks, and fuel records.
• Communicate delays, accidents, or mechanical problems to dispatchers or fleet managers.

A 10-wheeler truck driver safely operates heavy commercial vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment between locations while following all traffic laws and company rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Safely: Transport cargo over short or long distances while obeying road rules and weight limits.
• Inspect Vehicles: Perform pre-trip and post-trip checks on tires, brakes, lights, and fluid levels.
• Manage Cargo: Oversee or assist with loading, unloading, and securing items properly to prevent damage.
• Keep Records: Maintain accurate delivery receipts, logbooks, and fuel records.
• Communicate: Report delays, accidents, or mechanical problems right away to dispatchers or fleet managers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid License: Hold an appropriate professional driver’s license with heavy truck restrictions or codes (such as LTO restriction codes 2, 3, 8 or equivalent heavy vehicle endorsements).
• Experience: Have 1 to 3 years of proven experience driving heavy trucks like 10-wheelers or wing vans.
• Education: Complete at least high school education.
• Physical Fitness: Be able to sit for long hours, do minor vehicle upkeep, and lift heavy items when needed.
• Clean Record: Maintain a safe driving record with no recent major traffic violations.
