Job summary

Interact Software is seeking an Application Security Engineer who writes and reviews production code, hunts vulnerabilities, and ships secure libraries and guardrails.

You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers to treat security as an engineering problem, integrate security testing into CI/CD, and influence standards across the team. This role requires hands-on security expertise and a proactive approach to threats and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on code writing and review for security relevance.
• Ability to manually assess applications and APIs for vulnerabilities.
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top Ten and secure coding practices.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Secure web applications and APIs through hands-on code changes.
• Identify, exploit, and fix vulnerabilities with root-cause analysis.
• Integrate security tooling (SAST/DAST) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and influence security practices across teams.
• Stay updated on threats and regulatory requirements (GDPR, ISO 27001).
