Job summary

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or vocational training in CNC machining or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC mills/lathes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Basic CNC programming and machine setup experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines).
• Load programs, set tool offsets, and perform machine adjustments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Monitor machining operations and make corrections as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, dimensional errors, machine alarms).
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
• Document production results and report issues to supervisors.
• Work with engineers and supervisors to improve processes and reduce scrap.
