Job summary

Kinergy Philippines Inc. in Cebu City is seeking a CNC Machinist Assistant to support CNC operations, read blueprints, and maintain tooling with a commitment to quality. The role emphasizes translating instructions into machine commands and coordinating with the Leadman to achieve efficient machining.

The person will ensure materials and NC programs are ready, perform maintenance checks, assist in inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement in setup and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Co-lead CNC machinists and operate CNC machines to perform machining tasks.
• Read blueprints and instructions to understand task specifications and desired results.
• Translate instructions into CNC commands and suggest productive machining set-ups.
• Ensure materials, tooling and NC programs are ready before starting and coordinate with supervisor.
• Perform machine maintenance checks and record abnormalities/downtime.

Job description

Qualifications:

• Ability to read understanding of CAD/CAM
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
• Good communication abilities and team player
• Successfully completed apprenticeship is required
• 2 Full-Time position(s) available.
• Co-lead CNC machinists at the same time also operates CNC machines to perform machining tasks. Secure the production machine output.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings and special instructions. Support the Leadman in the coordination from programming, preparation to machining until quality inspection.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. He can also suggest suitable machining set-up to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Make sure that all materials, tooling, set-up sheets and NC program is readily available and provided prior having the go signal to start and proceed the machining. Agrees with the immediate superior should there be special instructions being instructed.
• Make sure that all CNC machines is following the periodic maintenance through PM check sheet and assure it’s update. Any abnormalities and downtime should be recorded and coordinated to the CNC Leadman.
• Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
• Suggest suitable set-up improvements.
• Assist in any Inspection and measurement of finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality and arrange request orders for consumables and needed accessories.
• Support the implementation of Quality system and Environmental system as well as any regulatory policies.
• And perform any task given from the immediate superior.
