Total Information Management Corp. in Makati is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer (L2) to manage day-to-day health of cloud infrastructure, handle escalated incidents beyond L1, and perform RCAs to improve stability.
You will collaborate with on-call teams, update runbooks, and implement approved changes to optimize performance, with a focus on reliability and incident response.
The Cloud Operations Engineer (L2) is responsible for the day-to-day operational health of cloud infrastructure and services, handling escalated incidents beyond L1 triage, performing root cause analysis, and executing operational changes with moderate autonomy. This role bridges frontline monitoring/response (L1) and infrastructure engineering/design (Cloud Engineer), focusing on operational stability, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of monitoring and runbook processes.
Monitor cloud environment health and respond to escalated alerts from L1
Triage, investigate, and resolve escalated incidents within defined SLAs
Execute routine and approved operational changes (scaling, restarts, configuration updates)
Perform root cause analysis for recurring or complex incidents
Maintain and improve runbooks/SOPs based on incident learnings
Validate backup jobs and assist in recovery operations as needed
Participate in on-call rotation for escalated (L2) incidents
Update ticketing system with clear resolution notes and RCA summaries
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, ECE, Computer Science, IT or any related field
At least 2 years of Cloud Operations experience
Has CompTIA Cloud+ (vendor-neutral cloud fundamentals) or CompTIA Network+ (networking foundation) certification
Solid understanding of compute, storage, networking, and service dependencies
Reliable under on-call/shift responsibilities
