Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field with 5+ years in Cloud/Infrastructure/DevOps.
• Hands-on AKS, Azure DevOps, networking, Linux and KQL experience.
• Manage production environments and implement cloud security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure and production environments for stability, availability, and performance.
• Deploy, administer, scale, upgrade, and troubleshoot AKS and WAF.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML.
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking components (VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Private Endpoints).
• Monitor, log analyze, and perform root cause investigations using KQL.
• Administer Linux environments and enforce cloud security controls (RBAC, Managed Identities).

Our Information Technology team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Makati with the role of Cloud Engineer.

In this role, you will manage and optimize the Bank's Azure cloud infrastructure, supporting production environments through the administration of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Application Gateway/WAF, Azure Networking, Linux systems, and cloud security controls. You will also build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, perform monitoring and root cause analysis through KQL and logging tools, and drive platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

What the role will entail

• Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure and production environments, ensuring platform stability, availability, and performance.
• Deploy, administer, scale, upgrade, and troubleshoot Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Application Gateway/Web Application Firewall (WAF).
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML to support efficient application delivery.
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure networking components, including VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, and Private DNS Zones.
• Perform monitoring, log analysis, and root cause investigations using KQL to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Administer Linux environments and implement cloud security best practices, including RBAC, Managed Identities, and access governance controls.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or DevOps.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Application Gateway/WAF, Azure DevOps (CI/CD and YAML pipelines), Azure Networking, Linux administration, and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
• Manage and support mission-critical production environments, leveraging Azure monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization tools to ensure platform reliability and availability.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including RBAC, Managed Identities, access governance, and secure infrastructure management.
• Experience with Azure services such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, App Services, Function Apps, Storage Services, and shell scripting (Bash) is highly preferred.
• Exposure to Azure Front Door, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Databricks is an advantage.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, works effectively across cross-functional teams, adapts quickly to new technologies, and is willing to provide after-hours support during critical incidents and maintenance activities.
