Job summary

OpenObserve Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer in the Philippines to build and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure and deployment systems. You will own CI/CD pipelines, deploy and scale workloads on Kubernetes, and design AWS-based infrastructure with IaC practices.

You will automate provisioning with Terraform/OpenTofu, implement observability with Grafana, and collaborate with developers to enhance deployment workflows and reliability in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on DevOps / Cloud / Infrastructure experience.
Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
Good working knowledge of AWS and its core infrastructure services.
Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts and practices.
Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
Hands-on experience with Grafana.
Good understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
Ability to diagnose and resolve production and infrastructure issues independently.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
Deploy, manage, and scale workloads on Kubernetes.
Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and/or OpenTofu.
Follow IaC best practices for repeatable environments.
Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and observability workflows.
Work with Grafana and monitoring platforms.
Monitor performance, availability, and reliability of infra and apps.
Troubleshoot production issues across infra, networking, Kubernetes, and apps.
Improve system reliability, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with developers to improve deployment workflows and automate repetitive tasks.
