Job summary

EY GDS Data Engineering Team is seeking a Cloud Senior Data Engineer to develop cloud data ingestion and processing pipelines and support project delivery using cloud platforms and data engineering technologies. The role involves applying BI tools and programming languages to build data solutions while gathering business requirements and presenting them to stakeholders.

The candidate will debug and optimize solutions in support roles and collaborate with interdisciplinary EY Consulting teams

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience developing cloud data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Experience with at least 2 of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Hadoop.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik.
• Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, Scala, JavaScript, and/or SQL.
• Familiarity with data modelling best practices for data engineers.
• Familiarity with CI/CD development using DevOps/Git.
• Familiarity with data architecture best practices involving NoSQL databases, RDBMS, or Databricks Unity Catalog.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills for gathering business requirements and presenting solutions.
• Commercial acumen, technical experience, enthusiasm to learn, and consulting skills.
