Job summary

JOB SUMMARY:

TheClinical Patient Care Assistant assists staff nurses by providing a defined set of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring of personal needs and comfort of the patient. He/she also adheres to quality and safety policies of the hospital and participates in continuous quality improvement programs and initiatives to ensure delivery of excellent patient care.

Provides excellent care to patients by assisting Staff Nurse in:

• Taking required patient’s anthropometric measurements.

• Initiating room/facility orientation for every new admission. This also includes receiving and assisting in transfer to the room.

• Checking and Plotting of Basic Vital Signs (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate & Temperature) with the aid of a portable vital signs monitor and thermometer scanner.
