Job summary

Blesces Diagnostic Laboratory in the Philippines seeks a Registered Nurse to support PhilHealth YAKAP registration and perform laboratory procedures. You will assess patients, document findings, and help coordinate with PhilHealth processes.

Responsibilities include ECG, Ishihara, and visual acuity testing, ultrasound assistance, and ensuring compliance with documentation standards. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required.
• Experience in diagnostics or laboratories preferred.
• Familiar with PhilHealth procedures a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive health history, including chief complaint, medical history, medication & allergies.
• Perform thorough Physical examination, assessing that patient's overall condition and any specific issues.
• Monitor vital signs (Temperature, Pulse, BP).
• Prepare patients for ECG by explaining the procedure and obtaining necessary patient information.
• Operate the ECG machine and monitor the test to ensure high quality readings.
• Submit the recorded date and patient details to the cardiologist for review.
• Administer Ishihara test according to standardized protocols
• Perform visual acuity test and record patient's measurements.
• Explain the ultrasound procedure to the patient
• Help position the patient appropriately for the exam
• Make the patient comfortable and calm throughout the procedure
• Provide instruction for any follow-up steps or aftercare
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with PhilHealth requirements
• Document the test results, patient information, and relevant observations
• Ensure records are accurate, complete and up to date.
• Informing and educating patients about their PhilHealth benefits and entitlements
• Communicating with PhilHealth coordinator regarding patient concerns or issues
• Providing feedback and recommendations to improve PhilHealth processes
• Adhering to PhilHealth policies, guidelines, and standards of care
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives related to PhilHealth implementation.
