Job summary

St. Luke's Medical Center in the Philippines (Taguig) is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to provide clinical nutrition care for patients across multiple units.

You will apply the nutrition care process, perform nutritional assessments, monitor diet tolerance, and deliver nutrition counseling and health education. The role requires a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics, knowledge of MNT and hospital food service systems, an active PRC license, and RND certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics or related major.
• 1–2 months hospital training or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Nutrition Care Processes, Medical Nutrition Therapy, and Hospital Food Service Systems.
• Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian (RND)
• Active PRC license required
• Willing to work at BGC, Taguig
• Can start ASAP

Responsibilities

• Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy in direct care of medical diseases and conditions across the continuum of care.
• Applies the Nutrition Care Process in providing optimum nutrition care of patients.
• Performs Nutritional Assessment to those patients who are nutritionally at risk upon Nutrition Screening.
• Monitors and evaluates patient's tolerance to prescribed diets and documents in the medical chart.
• Provides nutrition counseling, physical activity, lifestyle, and health education as part of preventive, therapeutic, and restorative care.

About the role

The Clinical Dietitian is a clinical practitioner who provides clinical expertise and support in nutritional care activities for patients in the medical center. He/She is responsible for providing nutrition care to patients through the application of the nutrition care process, and is expected to work in multiple practice areas, but not limited to critical care, oncology, pediatrics, geriatric, cardiology, diabetes, nephrology, surgical, weight management, and wellness and prevention.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy in direct care of medical diseases and conditions across the continuum of care

• Applies the Nutrition care Process in providing optimum nutrition care of patients.

• Performs Nutritional Assessment to those patients who are found to be nutritionally-at-risk upon Nutrition Screening.

• Monitors and evaluates patient's tolerance to prescribed diets and makes necessary documentation using the Dietitian's progress notes in the medical chart.

• Provides nutrition counseling, physical activity, lifestyle, and health education and counseling as components of preventative, therapeutic, and restorative health care.

What we're looking for:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, Nutrition, or Nutrition-related major.

• Preferably with at least one to two months hospital training or related experience in hospital setting.

• Knowledge in the Nutrition Care Processes, Medical Nutrition Therapy, and Hospital Food Service Systems

• Registered Nutritionist-Dietitian (RND)

• With active PRC license

• Willing to work at BGC, Taguig
