Job summary

MediCard Phils., Inc. is seeking a proactive Registered Nurse to assist members from admission to discharge, coordinating with Head Office units and answering telephone inquiries in Manila.

Minimum qualifications include a Registered Nurse license and at least 6 months of nursing experience, plus strong written and verbal communication and a personable nature. MediCard is a leading HMO in the country with a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Review member itemized bills for unusual charges and endorse final coverage at discharge.
• Update discharge details in MIMS and attach relevant documents to claims folder.
• Prepare progress notes daily with patient signatures.
• Notify Team Leader when transferring patient between facilities.
• Send itinerary to Team Leader daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MediCard is currently looking for assertive, dynamic and energetic individuals to fill up the following vacancy: Responsible for providing assistance to all members from admission till discharge. Handling requirements that can be settled through coordination with some units at the Head Office and answers telephone inquiries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews the Itemized bills of the member to check for unusual charges and properly endorses the final coverage upon discharge, payables of the member as well as the disapproved charges to the hospital.
• Updates all discharge details in MIMS and attaches all pertinent document in the shared folder with claims upon discharge
• Accomplishes progress notes duly signed by patient daily.
• Sends location to Team leader each time he/she transfers from home hospital to the other.
• Sends itinerary to TL daily
• Perform other task that may be assigned from time to time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education : Registered Nurse
• Experience : At least 6 months work experience
• Other Skills : Above average written and verbal communication skills. Personable.
